Abstract
This study examines the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the teaching of geography at Kaduna
State College of Education, Gidan Waya. The research explores how AI tools enhance teaching efficiency,
student engagement, and learning outcomes. A mixed-methods approach, combining surveys, interviews,
and classroom observations was used to gather data from lecturers and students. The findings indicate
that AI-powered applications, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) (70%), virtual simulations,
and AI-assisted tutoring, significantly improve geographical knowledge dissemination. However,
challenges such as inadequate digital infrastructure (50%) and limited AI literacy among educators
hinder effective implementation. The study recommends increased investment in AI-driven educational
tools and professional development programs to enhance AI integration in geography education.
