ABSTRACT
The paper assessed the impact of pedestrian bridges constructed in the state between 2012 and 2014 and their challenges. The materials used for the study are sourced from field survey, observation and interviews. The simple random sampling technique was used to select the required sample for the study. Data analysis was achieved using cross-tabulation and percentages. The study reveals that the pedestrian bridges are of great significant to road users in the state. It was also noted that additional cost has to be incurred to compel the people to use the bridges across the state. The study recommends that the general public should be their brothers-keeper by maintaining the bridges and protecting them at all time.
